We target WCAG 2.2 AA. We do not claim conformance, because no external audit has been done and a conformance claim without one is a claim somebody made up.
This page says what is built for, what is known to be missing, and how to tell us when something does not work.
What the product is built for
Keyboard. Everything that can be done with a pointer can be done with a keyboard. Where the product offers a drag gesture – reordering plan steps, moving somebody in a reporting line – there is a control beside it that does exactly the same thing, because a drag-only feature is unusable with a keyboard, a screen reader and a phone alike.
Focus. Visible focus on every interactive element, and focus is moved deliberately when a dialog opens or a page changes rather than left where it was.
Structure. Real headings, real lists, real labels. Buttons are buttons and links are links, so a screen reader announces what a control will do rather than reading its text and guessing.
Colour. Never the only carrier of meaning. A firm can set its own brand colour, and the contrast of text against a background is not left to that choice.
Motion. Animation is small and respects a reduced-motion preference.
Zoom and reflow. Layouts are fluid and reflow to a single column. Text can be enlarged without content being cut off.
Language. The product is built to serve people in their own language, and every page declares which language it is in so a screen reader pronounces it correctly. Right-to-left languages are laid out as such, not mirrored by accident.
What is known not to be there
- No external audit. Nothing here has been verified by anybody outside the team.
- No formal screen-reader test pass across the product. Individual surfaces have been checked; the whole has not.
- Data tables in some places rely on visual grouping more than on markup.
- The document previewer renders an agreement as a page inside a frame. It is readable, and it has not been tested end to end with a screen reader.
- No accessibility conformance report (VPAT) yet.
Telling us
accessibility@aiylum.com. Describe what you were trying to do, what happened, and what you use – the browser and any assistive technology. We will reply within five working days, tell you whether we can fix it and roughly when, and offer a way to get the thing done meanwhile.
If you are a client of a law firm and the portal is not working for you, telling your legal team also reaches us, and they can do anything the portal does on your behalf.
